JUDGMENT / ORDER

Petition under Section 438 Cr.P.C.
2. Petitioner is the 2nd accused in Crime No.715/2014 of the Town North Police Station, Palakkad registered for the offences punishable under Sections 489 (A) and 489(C) of the Indian Penal Code.
3. 49 numbers of counterfeit currency notes of the denomination of 500 were seized from the possession of the first accused. The investigation has revealed that the said notes were supplied to him by the petitioner herein.
4. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Public Prosecutor. Perused the CD.
5. Contents of the CD, prima facie, reveal the complicity of the petitioner. It seems that the investigation B.A.No. 6933 of 2014 -: 2 :-
has revealed that on several occasions the petitioner had parted with counterfeit currency notes of the denomination of 500 to the first accused. The matter has to be thoroughly investigated. The investigation is only in its beginning stage. Considering the seriousness of the allegations against the petitioner and the present stage of investigation, I am of the view that the petitioner is not entitled to the discretionary relief of anticipatory bail.
