JUDGMENT / ORDER

The petitioners herein are the three accused in Crime No.1506 of Attingal Police Station, registered under Sections 143, 147, 148, 149, 452, 323 and 427 of Indian Penal Code, on the complaint of one Nasimudeen, who is the 2nd respondent herein. The petitioners seek orders under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure quashing the criminal prosecution against them on the ground that they and the complainant have settled the dispute amicably out of court. The 2nd respondent has filed affidavit to the effect that he has settled the dispute with the accused, and that he has no grievance or complaint. I am well satisfied that there is a real settlement, and that continuance of further proceedings in the crime will do harm and hardship to both sides. It will not also serve any purpose when the case goes to trial. In the result, this petition is allowed. The F.I.R and further proceedings in Crime No.1506 of 2014 of Attingal Crl.M.C No.6207 of 2014
2
Police Station as against the petitioners herein will stand quashed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
