JUDGMENT / ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner and his family members to live in his own house peacefully situated at Nettur, Alankulam Taluk, Tirunelveli District by considering the complaint of the petitioner dated 01.04.2017.
2. Today, Mr.M.Shanmugam, Special Sub Inspector of Police, is present before this Court.
3. It is seen that this petitioner's son Sureshkannan is involved in several cases including under Section 302 IPC and now in prison. While so, it is alleged by the petitioner that the third respondent is causing trouble to the petitioner and therefore, the petitioner is before this Court seeking police protection. It is seen that this petitioner has given a complaint dated 01.04.2017 seeking police protection.
4. In the considered opinion of this Court, not a blanket order for police protection can be granted as prayed for by the petitioner. However, if there is any specific incidents of threat or intimidation or assault on the petitioner, the police shall take appropriate action against the perpetrators.
With the above direction, this petition is closed.
