THESE PETITIONS COMING ON FOR ORDERS, THIS DAY, THE COURT MADE THE FOLLOWING:-
ORDER Sri. Karunakar P., learned counsel for the petitioners.
Sri. Vijay Kumar A. Patil, learned Additional Government Advocate for respondent Nos.1 to 4.
In these petitions, the petitioners inter alia seeks for a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to give protection to their lives from respondent Nos.5 to 7.
2. On perusal of the record, I deem it appropriate to dispose of these writ petitions with a liberty to the petitioners that in case a representation with regard to their grievance is made to the competent authority within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of the order passed today, the same shall be decided by the competent authority in accordance with law by a speaking order within a period of four months from the date of receipt of such a representation.
3. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case.
With the aforesaid liberty, these petitions are disposed of.
