This matter has been listed on Board along with unready matters. A perusal of the record showes that by a communication dated 9.10.1996, the respondent Govindbhai Vershibhai Koli Thakor had stated that he is not in a position to engage any private advocate and that he would need the aid of a government advocate. He has further stated that as he is engaged in miscellaneous labour work, he is not in a position to produce any documentary evidence in support of his income as well as any other documentary evidence in relation to his income. He has further stated that even during the course of trial, he had been provided legal assistance through the government advocate.
In the aforesaid premises, the Gujarat High Court Legal Service Committee shall do the needful in the matter and provide necessary legal assistance to the respondent.
