1. Heard Mr. B.H. Solanki, learned advocate for the petitioners. RULE. Ms. Asmita Patel, learned AGP waives service of Rule on behalf of the respondents as she appears on advance copy.
2. Considering the issued involved in the present petition and with consent of the learned advocates appearing for the parties, this petition is taken up for final disposal forthwith.

As averred in the petition, it transpires that Tenancy Appeal No.2 of 2007 is pending before the Deputy Collector, Tenancy Branch, Ahmedabad since 2007 and the present petition is filed with a prayer to direct respondent No.2 to decide the said appeal within a stipulated time in the interest of justice.
4. Considering the averments made in the petition, the petitioners shall file an application for expediting the final hearing of Tenancy Appeal No.2 of 2007 pending before respondent No.2, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of this judgment and on receipt of the same, the concerned Deputy Collector shall decide the said application after hearing all the parties and fix the main appeal being Tenancy Appeal No.2 of 2007 and dispose of the same as expeditiously as possible.
5. With these observations, this petition is allowed in the above terms. Rule is made absolute only to the aforesaid extent. Direct service is permitted.
