JUDGMENT / ORDER

By way of this petition, the petitioner has prayed for granting him appointment on compassionate basis. Counsel for the petitioner submitted that the father of the petitioner who was working as Unarmed Head Constable, had expired on 25.06.1988. (2) At that time, the petitioner was minor. When the petitioner has become major and three sisters have married, the petitioner is entitled for the compassionate appointment.
(3) This petition is filed by son of the deceased employee for compassionate appointment. The son is disqualified on the ground that he was not major on the date of the death of the employee. The death of the said deceased occurred on 25.06.1998. By resolution dated 10th March, 2000, the minors have been excluded from consideration.
(4) The death occurred in 1998 and the present petition is filed in the year 2011. In view of the catena of decisions of Supreme Court, the petitioner is not entitled for the compassionate appointment. Even otherwise, the petition has no merits and the same is dismissed accordingly. Notice is discharged.
