JUDGMENT / ORDER

PRAYER in W.P(MD)Nos.13861 & 13862 of 2017: Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent herein to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 28.06.2017 and 17.07.2017 submitted in person for the disbursement of amount approximately to the tune of Rs.11,65,000/- as per the work orders as enclosed in the typed set of papers besides directing him to disburse the said amount within a time frame as fixed by this Court.
PRAYER in W.P(MD)No.13863 of 2017: Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent herein to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 28.06.2017 and 17.07.2017 submitted in person for the disbursement of amount approximately to the tune of Rs.6,00,000/- as per the work orders as enclosed in the typed set of papers besides directing him to disburse the said amount within a time frame as fixed by this Court.
These writ petitions have been filed seeking for a direction to the first respondent to dispose of the petitioners' representation dated 28.06.2017 and 17.07.2017 respectively submitted in person for the disbursement of amount approximately to the tune of Rs.11,65,000/-, Rs.11,65,000/- and Rs.6,00,000/- respectively, as per the work orders as enclosed in the typed set of papers besides directing him to disburse the said amount within a time frame.
2. Mrs.Porkodikarnan, learned standing counsel takes notice for the respondents. By consent, these writ petitions are taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3.According to the petitioners, they are contractors and they were awarded contract by the respondents and they have executed the work. Despite the same, the respondents have not paid the amount. Hence, the petitioners submitted representations dated 28.06.2017 and 17.07.2017 respectively. Since no action has been taken, the present writ petitions have been filed.
4.Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioners, this Court, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioners, directs the respondents to consider the representations of the petitioners dated 28.06.2017 and 17.07.2017 respectively and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
With the above direction, these Writ Petitions are disposed of. No costs.
