S.Sikkandar vs The Special ...

Madras High Court|31 January, 2017

JUDGMENT / ORDER

The petitioner seeks for a direction to the respondents to pay higher compensation in respect of the land, which was acquired long ago.
2.It is seen that the petitioner made such request on 14.03.2016 by way of representation before the second respondent. It is further seen that the District Adidravidar Welfare Officer, Virudhunagar through his communication, dated 21.04.2016, directed the Special Tahsildar, Srivilliputhur, to conduct an enquiry and file a report, based on the representation of the petitioner dated 14.03.2016.
3.The grievance of the petitioner is that till this date, the first respondent has not passed any order. Therefore, without expressing any view on the claim made by the petitioner, I only direct the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 14.03.2016 and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
