JUDGMENT / ORDER

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.
2. Though the prayer sought for by the petitioner, in the present writ petition, is for a larger relief, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner has submitted that it would suffice if the petitioner is permitted to make an application for the educational loan, before the second respondent lead bank, and if the lead bank is directed to forward the application to the appropriate bank, for the granting of the said loan.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the respondents has no objection for this Court passing such an order.
4. In view of the submissions made by the learned counsels appearing on behalf of the petitioner, as well as the respondents, the petitioner is permitted to make an application to the second respondent Bank, with regard to the educational loan, requested by him, within ten days from today and on such application being made by the petitioner, the second respondent lead bank shall forward the same to the appropriate Nationalised Bank for the granting of educational loan to the petitioner. Thereafter, it is for the concerned Bank to process the application and to take appropriate steps for the granting of the educational loan to the petitioner, which shall be done, as expeditiously as possible.
Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of, with the above directions. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is also closed.
