Sri.N.P.Pappachan vs State Of Kerala

High Court Of Kerala|08 October, 2014
|

JUDGMENT / ORDER

Petitioner obtained registration with the Town Employment Exchange, Batheri as per Ext.P1 dated 31/5/1980. He claims to be the senior most registered candidate before the Employment Exchange. His complaint is that his juniors were called for various jobs and he is discarded. Petitioner had approached the Chief Minister, but there was no response and he has filed a detailed representation before the 1st respondent which is produced as Ext.P3. Petitioner complains that though he was one among the senior most who had applied, despite the fact that there are sufficient opportunities in various departments, he was not called for interview and no action has been taken by the respondent in giving him employment.
2. The only question to be looked into is whether the petitioner's seniority has been overlooked while sponsoring candidates to the vacancies reported to the Employment Exchange. This matter can be considered only by the 2nd respondent.
In these circumstances, this writ petition is disposed of directing the petitioner to give a representation to the 2nd respondent who shall on receipt of the same consider it and a detailed reply shall be given to the petitioner. The representation shall be submitted by the petitioner along with copy of this judgment within one month, which shall be disposed within a period of two months from the date of receipt of the same.
