The Court made the following Order:
“The petitioner is A6. He seeks for grant of bail. He allegedly involved himself in offences under Section 120-B and 420 IPC and under the provisions of the Arms Act. A gang has been operating for extracting money by blackmail and extortion. The petitioner, who is A6, allegedly sold a pistol to A1, who is one of the gang. The petitioner is said to be CRPF Constable and is working in Vellore District. In view of the calling of the petitioner, I consider it appropriate to enlarge the petitioner on bail. However, in view of the nature of the offences alleged, I consider it appropriate to enlarge the petitioner on bail on terms only.
Accordingly, this Petition is allowed. The petitioner is enlarged on bail on a bond of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand Only) with two sureties in a like sum to the satisfaction of the learned III Additional Judicial Magistrate of First Class, Ongole. After his release, the petitioner shall appear daily between 9.00 a.m. and 6.00 p.m. before the Station House Officer, Ongole Taluq Police Station, for a period of three months.”
