Learned counsel for the petitioners is absent. Heard the learned Government Pleader for the respondents.
2. This writ petition was filed challenging the Memo in CCS.Ref.No.(1)/4779/2008, dated 03.12.2008, issued by the 2nd respondent.
3. The Government issued G.O.Ms.No.46 Consumer Affairs, Food and Civil Supplies (CS.I) Department dated 10.11.2008, imposing ban on the movement of super fine varieties of paddy and rice viz., B.P.T and Sonamasuri during the KMS 2008-2009. The impugned proceedings were issued on 03.12.2008 in pursuance of the said G.O. directing the Collectors (Civil Supplies) of Nellore and Mahaboobnagar Districts to intensify the check posts and to make a strict vigil on the movement of superfine varieties of paddy and rice. In the absence of any challenge to the main G.O. itself, the consequential order cannot be challenged. However, the learned Assistant Government Pleader says that the G.O. applies only for the year 2008- 2009 and the writ petition has become infructuous.
4. In view of the above facts, the writ petition is dismissed. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand dismissed in consequence. No costs.
