THIS WRIT PETITION IS FILED UNDER ARTICLES 226 & 227 OF THE CONSTITUTION OF INDIA, PRAYING TO DIRECT THE RESPONDENTS TO REFER THE MATTER TO FOR INVESTIGATION EITHER BY CBI OR ANY OTHER AGENCY TO CONDUCT THE INVESTIGATION AND REPORT AS TO THE MISSING OF NAGAMANI AND ETC.
THIS WRIT PETITION COMING ON FOR HEARING THIS DAY, THE COURT MADE THE FOLLOWING:-
ORDER Mr.K.N.Dayalu and Smt.Lalitha P.M., learned counsel for the petitioner.
Mr.Vijay Kumar A. Patil, learned Additional Government Advocate for respondent Nos.1 to 3.
2. The writ petition is admitted for hearing.
With consent of the parties, the same is heard finally.
3. In this petition, the petitioner inter alia seeks a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to refer the investigation to the CBI.
4. When the matter was taken up today, learned Additional Government Advocate while inviting the attention of this Court to the statement of objections filed on behalf of the respondents submitted that the respondents have taken efforts to trace out the sister of the petitioner who is missing since 19.12.2005. It is further submitted that the respondents shall continue to make efforts to trace out the missing sister of the petitioner.
5. In view of the aforesaid submissions, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the police authorities to continue the efforts to trace out the sister of the petitioner who is missing.
Accordingly, the petition is disposed of.
