THIS PETITION COMING ON FOR PRELIMINARY HEARING, THIS DAY, THE COURT MADE THE FOLLOWING:-
ORDER Sri. Rajesh Shettigar, learned counsel for the petitioner.
Sri. Adithya Singh, learned counsel for respondent Nos.1 and 2.
Petition is admitted for hearing. With consent of the learned counsel for the parties, the same is heard finally.
2. In this petition, petitioner inter alia seeks for a direction to respondent No.2 to issue a fresh passport to the petitioner by mentioning his correct date of birth as 23.05.2000.
3. When the matter was taken up today, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that he has submitted an application to respondent No.2 in this regard and the aforesaid Authority be directed to decide the application submitted by the petitioner in accordance with law within a fixed time limit.
4. On the other hand, learned counsel for respondent No.2 submits that in case such an application has been made, the same shall be dealt with in accordance with law.
5. In view of the aforesaid submission and in the facts of the case, writ petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 to consider and decide the application submitted by the petitioner for issuance of passport by a speaking order within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of the order passed today.
