The petitioners are working with the second respondent- University. It is the assertion of the petitioners that they have been working with the second respondent for more than 25 years now.
2. The grievance of the petitioners is that their services have not been regularised inspite of the fact that some of the persons who were similarly situated have already been regularised by the second respondent. In this regard, the petitioners have made several representations including the representation dated 03.11.2018 at Annexure ‘B’ filed along with the writ petitions. The petitioners have referred to several decisions of this Court in the representation.
3. It is the contention of the learned Counsel representing the petitioners that the issue as to whether the petitioners are entitled to be regularised have been covered in the said decisions. However, the respondents have not taken action on the requisitions made by the petitioners.
4. Shri H.N.Shashidar, learned Counsel appearing for respondent Nos.2 and 3 fairly submits that the representation given by the petitioners would be considered in accordance with law.
5. In that view of the matter, the petitions are disposed of while directing respondents No.2 and 3 to consider the representation of the petitioners dated 03.11.2018 at Annexure ‘B’ and in the light of the decisions cited in the said representation, the respondents are required to consider the representation and pass orders as expeditiously as possible at any rate within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.
