THESE WRIT PETITIONS ARE FILED UNDER ARTICLES 226 & 227 OF THE CONSTITUTION OF INDIA, PRAYING TO DIRECT RESPONDENTS TO REMOVE THE NAME OF THE PETITIONERS FROM THE ' ROWDY REGISTER ' AND CONSEQUENTLY TO REMOVE THE PHOTOGRAPH OF THE PETITIONERS ON THE NOTICE BOARD OF THE R-4 POLICE STATION VIDE ANNEX-E AS ILLEGAL, VOID AND UNCONSTITUTIONAL & ETC.
THESE WRIT PETITIONS COMING ON FOR PRELIMINARY HEARING IN ‘B’ GROUP THIS DAY, THE COURT MADE THE FOLLOWING:-
ORDER In these petitions, the petitioner is seeking for a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to remove the name of the petitioners from the rowdy register and consequently to remove the photograph of the petitioners on the notice board of the respondent No.4 police station vide Annexure-E as illegal, void and unconstitutional.
2. Accordingly, the writ petitions are disposed of with a liberty that if the petitioner makes a fresh representation to the competent authority within two weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of the order passed today, the competent authority is directed to decide the representation afresh submitted by the petitioner within a period of four months from the date of receipt of such a representation by a speaking order and in accordance with law. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case.
Accordingly, the petitions are disposed of.
