O R D E R Mr. P.P.Hegde, learned Counsel for the petitioner.
Mr. K.Mohan Kumar, learned Counsel for the respondent.
The petition is admitted for hearing. With the consent of learned Counsel for the parties, the matter is heard finally.
2. In this writ petition, petitioner, inter alia, has prayed for a direction to the respondent to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner contained in Annexure-B and to correct the date of birth as 13.09.1972 as per the Birth Certificate issued by the Chief Registrar of Births and Deaths, Mangaluru city Corporation at Annexure-A.
3. When the matter was taken up today, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the writ petition be disposed of with a direction to the respondent to consider and decide the representation of the petitioner within a timeframe.
4. On the other hand, learned counsel for the respondent submitted that action in accordance with law shall be taken on the representation submitted by the petitioner.
5. In view of the aforesaid submission and in the facts of the case, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the competent authority of the respondent to consider and decide the representation submitted by the petitioner by a speaking order within a period of two months from the date of receipt of the certified copy of the order passed today.
6. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the claim of the petitioner.
Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of.
