JUDGMENT / ORDER

The petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition to issue a writ of mandamus directing the 1st respondent to dispose of the petitioner's appeal in Appeal No.30 of 2017 dated 15.12.2016 within a time frame.
2.Mr.N.C.Ashok Kumar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that though the petitioner has filed the appeal as early as on 15.12.2016, the same has not yet been disposed of by the 1st respondent.
3.Mr.M. Maharaja, learned Special Government Pleader (HR & CE) taking notice for the respondents submitted that the 1st respondent may be directed to dispose of the appeal, within four months in accordance with law.
4.Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for in the Writ Petition, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the 1st respondent to dispose of the appeal in Appeal No.30/2017 dated 15.12.2016, on merits in accordance with law, after giving notice to all the interested parties, within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5.With these observations, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
At the instance of the learned counsel for the petitioner, the matter has been listed today under the caption 'For being mentioned'.
2.Mr.N.C.Ashok Kumar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that in the order dated 20.06.2017, in paragraph nos.1 & 4, the Appeal Number has been wrongly mentioned as Appeal No.30 of 2017 instead of Appeal No.13 of 2017.
3.Mr.M.Maharaja, the learned Special Government Pleader (HR & CE) has no objection for amending the Appeal Number.
4.In view of the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, Registry is directed to amend the Appeal Number in paragraph nos.1 & 4 as Appeal No.13 of 2017 instead of Appeal No.30 of 2017.
5.The Registry is directed to carry out the amendment in the order and issue fresh copies to both sides.
6.In other aspects, the order dated 20.06.2017 shall remain unaltered.
