THIS CRIMINAL PETITION COMING ON FOR ORDERS THIS DAY, THE COURT MADE THE FOLLOWING:
O R D E R Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners/accused and the learned High Court Government Pleader appearing for the respondent-State.
2. I.A.1/2017 for dispensation of production of certified copies of documents is allowed.
3. The petitioners are arraigned as accused persons in Cr.No.12/2017 registered by the respondent- police in respect of the offences under Sections 498-A, 354-C and 417 of IPC.
4. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners were granted anticipatory bail till filing of the FIR. Now FIR is filed and the benefit of anticipatory bail is of no avail for them. If fresh anticipatory bail is granted for a limited period, they will surrender before the jurisdictional Sessions Court and participate in the proceedings.
Having regard to the circumstance, the petition is allowed. Petitioners are granted anticipatory bail for a period of four weeks. Within the above period, they shall move the jurisdictional Sessions Court for the relief. Till disposal of the anticipatory bail petition by the concerned Court, this order will be in force. If they are arrested by the respondent-Investigating Officer within the above period, they shall be released on bail on each of them executing a self bond for Rs.50,000/- with one surety for the likesum.
