JUDGMENT / ORDER

Court No. - 34
Case :- WRIT - A No. - 20670 of 1995 Petitioner :- Sri Pratap Singh Yadava Respondent :- U.P. State Road Transport Corporation, And Others Counsel for Petitioner :- Raj Kumar Jain,R. Jain,Swadesh Kumar Counsel for Respondent :- V.M. Sahai/C.S.C.,Samir Sharma Hon'ble Sudhir Agarwal,J.
1. Called in revise. None appeared to press this writ petition. Learned Standing Counsel is present for respondents. In the circumstances, I myself have perused the record.
2. By means of present writ petition, petitioner has sought following reliefs :
"(i) To issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of certiorari quashing the award dated 31.8.1993 published on 28.10.1993 put up on the notice board on 1.11.1993 in adjudication Case No.121 of 1992 to the extent it had awarded to punishment of stoppage of two annual increment and denial of back wages prior to 1.6.1992 to the petitioner.
(ii) To issue a writ of mandamus, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondents to pay the entire back wages with all consequential benefits thereof to the petitioner from the date of the termination of his services, till date of his retirement.
(iii) To issue any other suitable writ, order or direction in the nature of writ to which this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper under the circumstances of the case to which the petitioner is entitled in law.
(iv) To award to cost of the petition to the petitioner."
3. I myself have gone through the pleadings, grounds as also reliefs sought and find that petitioner is not able to make out a case so as to justify interference of this Court by granting reliefs, as prayed for.
4. Moreover, it appears that either the cause of action no more survives or the petitioner has lost interest in this matter or it has otherwise become infructuous and, probably for this reason, none is interested to have decided this matter on merits and that is why, counsel for petitioner is absent.
5. Dismissed. Interim order, if any, stands vacated.
