Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing counsel for the State-respondents.
The petition has been filed seeking the following relief-
"1. Issue an appropriate writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondent no.1 to decide the Appeal No.27.2002-03, Computer No.C20031000000065 (Sri Niwas versus State of U.P.) 1950, pending before Court of Additional Commissioner (Judicial-2) Agra Division, Agra, within stipulated period as fixed by this Hon'ble Court. ."
It has been stated that an appeal filed by the petitioner against the judgement and decree passed in a suit under Section 229B of U.P. Zamindari Abolition and Land Reforms Act, pending consideration since the year 2003.
Under the circumstances, this writ petition is disposed of directing the respondent no.1, Additional Commissioner (Judicial-2), Agra Division, Agra to endeavour to decide the appeal of the petitioner, expeditiously, preferably within a period of three months from the date a certified copy of this order is filed before him.
