THIS WRIT PETITION COMING ON FOR PRELIMINARY HEARING IN ‘B’ GROUP, THIS DAY, THE COURT MADE THE FOLLOWING:
O R D E R None appears for the petitioner.
2. In this petition under Articles 226 and 227 of the Constitution of India, the petitioner has inter alia prayed for the following reliefs:
a) To quash the list of members of Jamia Masjid Committee, Maddur approved by the 1st Respondent vide order dated: 10-5-2016 under Annexure-B in the petition.
b) And direct the 2nd Respondent to conduct the election to members of the Jamia Masjid Committee in accordance with the byelaw.
c) To grant such other relief/s as this Hon’ble Court deems fit to grant on the facts and circumstances of the case, in the interest of justice and equity.
3. After perusal of the averments made in the writ petition and in the facts of the case, I deem it appropriate to dispose of the writ petition with a direction to respondent No.2 to conduct the election of the Jamia Masjid Committee in accordance with Bye-laws within a period of three months from the date of receipt of certified copy of the order passed today, if election has not been already held.
Accordingly, the petition is disposed of.
