THIS WRIT PETITION COMING ON FOR PRELIMINARY HEARING IN ‘B’ GROUP THIS DAY, THE COURT MADE THE FOLLOWING:-
ORDER Mr.K.Narasimha Murthy, learned counsel for the petitioner.
None for the respondent. Record perused. Admitted.
2. The writ petition is admitted for hearing.
With consent of the learned counsel for the parties, the same is heard finally.
3. In this petition, the petitioner has assailed the validity of the order dated 13.01.2015 passed by the family court, by which the family court while dealing with the application under Section 125 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (hereinafter referred to as ‘the Code’ for short) has awarded a sum of Rs.15,0000/-
p.m. to the respondent wife and a sum of Rs.5,000/- as litigation expenses to her.
4. After arguing the matter to some extent, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the writ petition be disposed of with a direction to the family court to conclude the proceedings expeditiously.
5. In view of the aforesaid submission and taking into the fact that the proceedings under Section 125 of the Code was initiated in the year 2017, I deem it appropriate to dispose of the writ petition with a direction to the family court to conclude the proceedings expeditiously within a period of four months from the date of receipt of certified copy of the order passed today.
Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of.
