THIS WRIT PETITION COMING ON FOR ‘PRELIMINARY HEARING THIS DAY, THE COURT MADE THE FOLLOWING:
ORDER Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner. In view of the nature of the relief sought for, notice to the respondents is dispensed with.
2. Petitioner is before this Court praying for the issuance of a writ of mandamus and thereby direct the respondent No.1 to dispose of the appeal dated 30.01.2019 preferred by the petitioner, being aggrieved by the resolution ordering his dismissal. The copy of the appeal memo dated 30.01.2019 is produced as Annexure-D to the writ petition.
3. In view of the nature of the relief sought for, this Court is of the opinion that the petition could be disposed of with a direction to the Appellate Authority to consider and dispose of the appeal preferred by the petitioner as expeditiously as possible.
Accordingly, the petition is disposed of with a direction to the Appellate Authority to consider and dispose of the Appeal (Annexure-D) preferred by the petitioner as expeditiously as possible but at any rate within an outer limit of two months from the date of receipt of copy of this order. Consideration and disposal of the appeal shall be after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and the same shall be strictly in accordance with law.
The petition is ordered accordingly. There shall be no order as to costs.
