HON’BLE SRI JUSTICE P.NAVEEN RAO WRIT PETITION No.35209 of 2014 ORDER:
The petitioner is an existing grower of tobacco and for the previous season, he was granted license. The petitioner applied for grant of licence to grow tobacco for the 2014-15 crop season. Alleging that no orders are passed on the application bearing No.168, dated 20.10.2014, submitted by the petitioner and on account of the delay in considering the application, the petitioner is adversely affected, the writ petition is instituted.
2. When the matter is taken up, the learned Standing Counsel representing the Tobacco Board submits that the Tobacco Board has already considered the application and orders are passed on 11.11.2014 and the order has been dispatched to the petitioner.
3. Having regard to the same, the writ petition has become infructuous and, therefore, it is, accordingly, dismissed leaving it open to the petitioner to avail appropriate remedies, as warranted by law, against the decision of the respondent Board, dated 11.11.2014. There shall be no order as to costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
