JUDGMENT / ORDER

Sri Lokesh S M s/o Sri Mudlappa aged about 37 years Working as Lineman MESCOM, Kaduru Chikkamagaluru District – 577 101. .. Petitioner (By Sri Naik N R, Advocate) AND:
1. The Managing Director MESCOM Bhavan Kavur Cross Road, Bijyai Mangalore-575004.
2. The Superintendent Engineer (Electrical) W & O Circle Madhuvana Layout Road MESCOM, Chikkamagaluru - 577101. .. Respondents (By Sri S Sriranga, Advocate) This writ petition is filed under Articles 226 and 227 of the Constitution of India, praying to direct the respondent – Authorities, the petitioner shall promote from the post of Lineman to Meter Reader in a category 1-A and etc.
This writ petition coming on for preliminary hearing this day, the Court passed the following:
ORDER Petitioner who claims to be working as a lineman in the respondent-MESCOM has a short grievance in as much as his representation dated 11.10.2019, a copy whereof is at Annexure-D has not been expeditiously considered by the respondents in which he has sought for consideration of his case for promotion to the next higher post i.e., Meter Reader.
2. Sri S. Sriranga, learned panel counsel having accepted the notice for the respondents fairly submits that if reasonable period is prescribed this Court and if petitioner also co-operates by furnishing necessary information/documents, there will not be much difficulty for considering the representation. This stand of the learned counsel for the respondent is fair and reasonable.
In the above circumstances, the writ petition is disposed off by directing respondent No.2 to consider petitioner’s subject representation within a period of eight weeks and to inform him of the result of such consideration immediately.
It is open to the respondents to seek solicitation of any information from the side of the petitioner as are required for due consideration of the subject representation. However, in the case of quite solicitation, delay shall not be brooked.
All contention of the parties are kept open.
