Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the Learned Standing Counsel.
Pursuant to the last order of this Court an affidavit has been filed seeking to explain delay. The only explanation proffered is that the petitioner approached the respondents upon deriving knowledge of the decisions rendered by this Court on the writ petitions preferred by similarly situate candidates.
Undisputedly, the recruitment was initiated in 2011 and the results thereof were declared in 2014. The assertions made in the affidavit tendered today do not provide any sufficient explanation warranting condonation of the evident and inordinate laches.
The writ petition is consequently dismissed.
