THIS WRIT PETITION COMING ON FOR PRELIMINARY HEARING IN ‘B’ GROUP THIS DAY, THE COURT MADE THE FOLLOWING:-
ORDER Mr.G.L.Mohana Maiya for Mr.A.Keshava Bhat, learned counsel for the petitioner.
Mr.C.Jagadish, learned Special counsel for the respondents.
2. The petition is admitted for hearing. With consent of the learned counsel for the parties, the same is heard finally.
3. In this petition, the petitioner inter alia has challenged the validity of the impugned notice issued by the police dated 01.09.2014.
4. When the matter was taken up today, learned counsel for the parties jointly submitted that the controversy involved in this petition is squarely covered by an order dated 13.02.2019 in W.P.No.6479/17.
5. In view of the aforesaid submissions and for the reasons assigned in the order dated 13.02.2019 passed in W.P.No.6479/2017, the impugned notice dated 23.11.2017 is quashed. However, the respondents are granted the liberty to take action against the petitioner if so advised in accordance with law.
Accordingly, the petition is disposed of.
