ORDER Sri.R.P.Somashwkharaiah, learned counsel for the petitioners.
Sri.Sridhar N. Hegde, learned High Court Govenemnnt Pleader for respondent Nos.2 and 3.
The petitions are admitted for hearing. With the consent of learned counsel for the parties, the same are heard finally.
2. In these petitions, the petitioners seek for a writ of certiorari for quashment of the order dated 11.06.2019, 13.06.2019 and 13.06.2019 by which the Passport Officer has refused to renew the passport in favour of the petitioners.
3. When the matters were taken up today, learned counsel for the petitioners fairly submitted that against the aforesaid order, an appeal under Section 11 of the Passports Act, 1967 lies before the appellate authority and the petitioners be granted liberty to file an appeal within a period of two weeks from today.
4. In view of the aforesaid submission and in the facts of the case, the writ petitions are disposed of with liberty to the petitioners that in case they file an appeal against the impugned orders within a period of two weeks from today before the appellate authority, the appellate authority after affording an opportunity of hearing to all necessary parties shall decide the appeal preferred by the petitioners in accordance with law by a speaking order within a period of six weeks from the date of filing of such an appeal.
Accordingly, the writ petitions are disposed of.
