1. Called in revise. None appeared on behalf of petitioners to press this writ petition. Learned Standing Counsel is present for respondents.
2. By means of the present writ petition, petitioners have sought following reliefs:
"i. issue a suitable writ, order or direction in the nature of certiorari, calling for the record of the case and to quash the order dated 30.11.2000, passed by Deputy Director of Education (Science), based at the office of Director of Education (Basic), U.P. at Allahabad (Annexure '2') to the present writ petition).
ii. issue a suitable writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus, commanding the District Basic Education Officer, Meerut and each- one of the respondents jointly and collectively to ensure payment of salaries to the employees for the month of December, 2000 and also for future months, as and when, the same falls due, in accordance with the law, including all perks and privileges admissible under the law."
3. I myself have gone through the pleadings, grounds as also reliefs sought and find that petitioners are not able to make out a case so as to justify interference of this Court by granting reliefs, as prayed for.
4. Moreover, it appears that either the cause of action no more survives or that petitioners have lost interest in this matter or it has otherwise become infructuous and, probably for this reason, none is interested to have decided this matter on merits and that is why, counsel for petitioners is absent.
5. Dismissed. Interim order, if any, stands vacated.
