THESE WRIT APPEALS COMING ON FOR PRELIMINARY HEARING THIS DAY, CHIEF JUSTICE DELIVERED THE FOLLOWING:
JUDGMENT Writ petitions were filed challenging an order dated March 22, 2017, passed on Interlocutory Application No.4 in connection with Appeal No.154 of 2017 by the Karnataka Appellate Tribunal.
2. The Hon’ble Single Judge declined to entertain the writ petitions.
3. Mr.B.S.Sachin, learned advocate appearing for the appellants, argues that while dismissing the writ petitions, the Hon’ble Single Judge made certain observations touching the merits of the case pending before the Karnataka Appellate Tribunal.
4. We are of the opinion that the observations are all limited for the purpose of refusal to entertain the writ petitions.
5. We feel, therefore, that there is no merit in the writ appeals.
6. The writ appeals are dismissed.
7. However, we request the Members of the Karnataka Appellate Tribunal to dispose of Appeal No.154 of 2017, as expeditiously as possible, uninfluenced by the observations of the Hon’ble Single Judge in the order impugned.
8. In view of the dismissal of the writ appeals, I.A.No.I 2017 does not survive for consideration and is, also, dismissed.
9. We make no order as to costs.
