The petitioner has filed the above writ petition, to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to act on the petitioner's representation dated 10.05.2017, by recognizing him as the 15th Pattam/Hereditary Trustee of Sri Chidambara Swamigal and Arulmighu Kandaswamy Thirukoil at Thiruporur, Kancheepuram District.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the suit filed by the petitioner in O.S.No.7 of 2000 on the file of the District Munsiff Chengalpattu was withdrawn by him during the pendency of the Second Appeal in S.A.No.18 of 2004 on 01.02.2013. Further, the learned counsel submitted that inspite of the petitioner's representation dated 10.05.2017, the first respondents has not pass any orders so far.
4. Mr.M.Maharaja, learned Special Government Pleader submitted that the first respondent may be directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 10.05.2017, in accordance with law.
5. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for in the writ petition, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 10.05.2017 and pass orders on merits in accordance with law, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
With this observation, this writ petition stands disposed of.
No costs.
