This Writ Petition is filed under Articles 226 & 227 of the Constitution of India, praying to quash the order dated 3.3.2016 passed in MAG CR.No.97/2015-16 by the R-3 under Section 55 of the Karnataka Police Act, 1963, vide Annex-A and all further proceedings and etc.
This Writ Petition coming on for preliminary hearing in ‘B’ group this day, the Court made the following:-
ORDER Mr.Vinayak Kulkarni for Mr.Aruna Shyam, learned counsel for the petitioner.
Mr.Vijay Kumar A Patil, learned Additional Government Advocate for the respondent.
2. In this petition under Articles 226 & 227 of the Constitution of India, the petitioner has challenged the validity of the order of expulsion dated 03.03.2016. By the aforesaid order, the petitioner was expelled for a period of six months. The aforesaid period has come to an end by efflux of time.
3. When the matter was taken up today, learned Government Advocate for the respondents submitted that a Bench of this Court had passed an ad- interim order dated 11.03.2016 and therefore, the order impugned in this Writ Petition seizes to have any effect in the eye of law.
In view of the aforesaid submissions, nothing survives for consideration in the Writ Petition. Accordingly, the same is dismissed as infructuous.
