THESE CONTEMPT PETITIONS COMING ON FOR ORDERS THIS DAY, RAVI MALIMATH J., PASSED THE FOLLOWING:
ORDER These contempt petitions are filed on the ground that the order dated 20.04.2018 passed by the learned Single Judge of this Court in Writ Petition Nos.61596 of 2016 and 61924 of 2016 has been disobeyed. In terms of the said order, the respondent therein was directed to consider the representations of the complainants and convey the same to the complainants within a period of two months from the date on which the representations are submitted.
2. In compliance of the said direction, the same was communicated to the complainants vide Annexure-C dated 10.05.2018 within the time stipulated. However, the contention of the complainants is that the directions have not been complied with.
3. A counter affidavit is filed by the accused enclosing Annexure-R1 which is the copy of the Rules published on 01.07.2019. Under the circumstances, we do not find any ground to proceed further. The direction issued in the order impugned herein was to take a decision on the representations and convey the same to the complainants. Nothing more than that can be expected from the accused. Since, the accused have considered the representations, we find no good ground to proceed further.
The proceedings are dropped.
