ORDER: (per the Hon’ble the Chief Justice Sri Kalyan Jyoti Sengupta)
This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Habeas Corpus alleging that the alleged detenu has been detained wrongfully by private respondents.
It appears, some complaint has been lodged with the police. It is an admitted case of detention by the private individuals without any hands of the police. We think this Court has no jurisdiction. It would be open to the petitioner to approach the appropriate forum for redressal of his grievance.
The writ petition is accordingly dismissed. Pending miscellaneous applications, if any, shall also stand closed. No order as to costs.
