JUDGMENT / ORDER

Ashok Bhushan, Ag.CJ Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Government Pleader as well as learned counsel appearing for respondents 5 and 6. 2. By this writ petition, the petitioner has prayed for a mandamus directing respondents 1 to 3 to give adequate and effective police protection to the petitioner and their workers for executing the work of development of Kollam Canal under Ext.P2, without obstruction from respondents 5 and 6.
3. Petitioner's case is that work allotted to the petitioner is a time bound work. Unless police protection is granted, petitioner will not be able to complete the work within time.
4. Learned Government Pleader submits that after a complaint was received from the petitioner, the police went to the spot and provided protection for carrying out the work.
5. No counter affidavit has been submitted by respondents WP(c) No.29159/2014 2 5 and 6 although they have already been served. In view of the above, we direct respondents 2 and 3 to take appropriate steps to ensure that there is no law and order situation in carrying out the work by the petitioner as entrusted by Ext.P2.
With the above observation, the writ petition is disposed of.
