The limited relief sought for by the petitioner is for a direction to consider Ext.P8 application that the petitioner has submitted for the issue of a license under the Kerala Sweet Toddy (NEERA) Rules, 2014. According to the petitioner, he is possessed of all the other necessary permissions from the concerned authorities. Therefore, there is no justification for the delay in considering the application. The learned Government Pleader appears for respondents 1 and 2. Since Ext.P8 is pending consideration of the second respondent, this writ petition is disposed of directing the said authority to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's application, in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible and at any rate within a period of six weeks of the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.
