JUDGMENT / ORDER

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel for the Devaswom Board, apart from perusing the record. Since the issue lies in a narrow compass, this Court proposes to dispose of the writ petition at the admission stage itself. 2. Briefly stated, the petitioner, having joined on 16.09.2005 as part-time Santhi, is presently working as full- time Santhi in Ambalappuzha Devaswom in Ambalappuzha Group. The petitioner is said to have met with a serious accident on 31.11.2011 and, after a prolonged treatment, he rejoined duty only on 01.08.2012, as could be witnessed from Ext.P1 medical certificate.
3. In the light of the physical constraints faced by the petitioner owing to the accident, he is said to have made a series of representations, which culminated in Ext.P10 representation dated 15.11.2014 seeking transfer to any temple in Mavelikkara Group. For expeditious disposal of Ext.P10 representation, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition.
4. The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that in near future, a vacancy is arising in Mavelikkara Group where the petitioner could be accommodated without any difficulty.
5. The learned Standing Counsel for the respondent Devaswom on the other hand submitted that any transfer shall be based on the administrative convenience of the organisation, and that in the light of Ext.P10 representation, the 2nd respondent will make every endeavour to consider it in accordance with law. According to him, it may not be appropriate at this juncture to adjudicate the issue on merits.
Be that as it may, in the facts and circumstances, having regard to the respective submissions of the learned Counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel, this Court, without adverting to the merits of the matter, disposes of the writ petition with a direction to the 2nd respondent to consider Ext.P10 representation in accordance with law keeping into account Ext.P1 medical certificate, as well as the transfer norms in vogue, and pass appropriate orders thereon, as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment. No order as to costs.
