----------------------- This writ petition is filed alleging that the party respondents have encroached upon the puramboke land in Vizhinjam Village. Earlier the 6th respondent had approached this Court challenging proceedings under the Kerala Land Conservancy (Environmental Protection) Act. By Ext.P13, this Court has directed the District Collector to transmit proceedings to the Revenue Divisional Officer to take appropriate action in the matter. It is on account of the non-conclusion of the proceedings based on Ext.P13, the petitioner has approached this Court.
2. It is to be noted that Ext.P13 judgment was rendered on 29.1.2010. This Court has directed the Revenue Divisional Officer to finalise the proceedings within three months. However it is seen that in spite of lapse of more than three years, the proceedings are not concluded.
3. The learned Government Pleader on instructions would submit that the proceedings are pending before the Revenue W.P.(C).No.29563 of 2014 2 Divisional Officer and the matter was last posted on 27.10.2014.
4. Considering the facts and circumstances, there shall be a direction to the Revenue Divisional Officer to conclude the entire proceedings within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment after hearing the petitioner and respondents 6 and 7. All the other issues raised in the writ petition are left open.
The writ petition is disposed of as above.
