Learned AGP Shri K.R. Raval has appeared in pursuance of notice issued by this court and has submitted that the meeting of the newly elected members of the Agricultural Produce Market Committee, Bharuch is to be convened on 11th April 2002. In the circumstances, the grievance, which has been ventilated by the petitioners in the petition, does not survive.
It is deplorable that the petitioners had to approach this court for their legitimate rights with regard to getting the first meeting of the newly elected members of the Market Committee convened for the purpose of holding election of the Chairman and Vice-Chairman under Rule 31(1) of the Gujarat Agricultural Produce Market Rules, 1965. It is hoped that the respondent authorities shall take due care in performance of their duties.
In view of the above statement made by learned AGP Shri Raval, learned advocate Shri Harin Raval appearing for the petitioners seeks permission to withdraw the petition. Permission for withdrawal of the petition is granted. The petition stands disposed of as withdrawn. Notice is discharged.
