JUDGMENT / ORDER

These Writ petitions have been filed by the petitioners for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to complete the enquiry in Manu.Na.Ka.No.167/2010 within the stipulated time.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 and the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the third respondent.
3. Mr.J.Gunaseelan Muthiah, learned Government Advocate, takes notice for the respondents 1 and 2 and Mr.S.M.S.Johnny Basha, learned Standing Counsel for TNEB, takes notice for the third respondent. By consent, the Writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.
4. Having regard to the limited scope of the prayer in the Writ petition, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Court is inclined to issue the following direction:-
?The first respondent is directed to complete the enquiry in Manu.Na.Ka.No.167/2010, which was filed under Section 3 of Tamil Nadu Industrial Establishments (Conferment of Permanent Status of Workmen Act), 1981, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.?
5. Accordingly, the Writ petitions are disposed of. No costs.
