The writ petitioner alleges that he is in love with Neethu Vasudevan @ Thulasy, whose father and uncle are respondents 3 and 4. According to him, they decided to get married and live together and that inorder to prevent her from proceeding with the said stand, respondents 3 and 4 are kept her in illegal detention. With this allegation, he has filed this Writ Petition with a prayer for the issue of a writ of habeas corpus for setting the detenue at liberty.
2. Pursuant to the order dated 19.6.2014, the aforesaid Neethu Vasudevan @ Thulasy was produced before us today and we interacted with her. In answer to our question, she denied the allegation that she is detained by respondents 3 and 4 and, according to her, she is residing with her father, on her own choice.
3. Evidently, therefore, the disclosures made by the detenue shows that the allegation of the petitioner that she is W.P.(Crl) No.260/2014 2 being illegally detained by respondents 3 and 4 is incorrect. In such circumstances, this Writ Petition with the prayer for the issue of a writ of habeas corpus cannot be entertained.
Writ Petition is accordingly dismissed.
