The petitioner claims herself to be contractor and to be registered contractor the petitioner requires a character certificate issued by the District Magistrate. The petitioner has made an application for issuance of character certificate after due inquiry, but no action has been taken so far.
The writ petition is disposed of with the observation that in case the petitioner files an application for issuance of character certificate in accordance with law, the respondent no. 2 after necessary inquiry etc. may pass appropriate orders in accordance with law with regard to issuance of character certificate, as far as possible, within three months from the date a certified copy of this order along with application is presented before it.
