This writ petition has been filed against the order dated 10.3.2021 passed by the Officer In Charge (Arms), through District Magistrate, District Saharanpur by which the application filed by the petitioner for granting a firearm licence was rejected.
Learned Standing Counsel submits that the order impugned is an appealable one.
Learned counsel for the petitioner, however, submitted that the petitioner could not file the appeal within the time provided due to the prevailing Covid pandemic.
Under such circumstances, it is provided that if the petitioner files an appeal within a period of one month from today, then the appeal shall be decided within a period of two months thereafter without entering into the question of limitation.
With the above observations, the writ petition stands disposed of.
