Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel.
Learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents states that subject to verification of all facts and contentions on merits being kept open, the prayer of the petitioner for a reconsideration of his candidature for appointment in the Police Force consequent to the order of acquittal made on 31 January 2019 shall be duly evaluated and a final decision in respect thereof communicated with expedition and preferably within a period of three months from the date of presentation of a certified copy of this order.
In view thereof, this petition shall stand disposed of in light of the statement noted above.
The order impugned in this petition shall abide by the fresh decision which the respondents shall now take.
