Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing, appearing for the State- respondents.
The age of the petitioner creates some doubt as Aadhar Card, according to Counsel for the State, shows the date of birth of petitioner no.1 in the year 2001 whereas the school leaving certificate shows another date of birth of the year 1999.
May that as it may be as they have got themselves entangled in the marriage on 19.7.2018, the police shall enquire into the veracity of the marriage and give protection to them keeping in view the observations made by the Apex Court in Gian Devi v. The Superintendent, Nari Niketan, Delhi and others, (1976) 3 SCC 234; Lata Singh v. State of U.P. and another, (2006) 5 SCC 475; and Bhagwan Dass v. State (NCT of Delhi), (2011) 6 SCC 396.
With these observations, the writ petition is partly allowed.
