1. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner.
2. This petition has been filed, praying for a direction to the appellate authority to decide Appeal No.16 of 2018 said to be pending before him since 21.5.2018.
3. It has been submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner's fair price shop licence was cancelled only on the ground that the petitioner was involved in black marketing of kerosene oil and a FIR was lodged under Section 3/7 of the Essential Commodities Act. The petitioner filed an appeal against the order of cancellation and in the meantime, a final report has been submitted by the Investigating Officer. The petitioner has brought the final report on record of the appeal, but the appeal is not being decided. Hence this writ petition.
4. This petition is disposed of with a direction to the appellate authority to consider the petitioner's case at the earliest and pass appropriate orders within a period of three months from the date, a certified copy of this order is produced before the authority concerned.
