Heard learned counsel for the applicant, Sri Vikas Sahai, the learned A.G.A. for the State and perused the record.
The instant application has been moved seeking anticipatory bail in light of the apprehension of the arrest of the applicant in Case Crime No.38 of 2021, under Sections 420, 406, 467, 468, 471 IPC, police station Pilkhua, District Hapur.
The Court finds no ground to accord the facility of anticipatory bail to the applicant who has been found during the course of investigation to be complicit in the running of a call center which was cheating people on the promise of being provided loans and financial credit. The name of the applicant has come to the fore from the statement of women employees who were apprehended from the call center as well as the landlord of the premises from which the alleged call center was being run. The landlord in his statement has named the applicant as being one of the persons who had approached him for taking the premises on rent.
There is a clear and emergent need to ensure that crimes like the present where innocent and gullible persons are defrauded of their valuable savings on the false promise of monetary benefit by persons running organized call centers is dealt with sternly.
Accordingly, the petition fails and stands rejected.
