JUDGMENT / ORDER

Petition filed under Section 439 Cr.P.C. 2. The petitioner is the accused in Crime No.192 of 2014 of Chittarikal Police Station registered for the offences punishable under Sections 326A and 307 of the Indian Penal Code.
3. The allegation against the petitioner is that on 3.5.2014 at about 6.05 p.m., he poured acid on the de-facto complainant and 3 other passengers of a bus, including a small girl child of 1½ years. They sustained severe burn injuries and suffered deformity.
4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Public Prosecutor. The learned Public Prosecutor opposes the petition. It is also pointed out that he is involved in 2 other criminal cases. It seems that the final report has already been filed B.A. No.7473 of 2014 2 in the matter.
5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, it seems that the acts of the petitioner were so cruel that he is not entitled to be enlarged on bail. Let the law take its own course in a matter like this, as the final report has already been filed. The court below shall take immediate necessary steps to get the matter tried, as expeditiously as possible.
In the result, this Bail Application is dismissed with the aforesaid observations.
